Sorenson et Mary Franco passent la nuit ensemble. A la brigade, Andy demande conseil à Katie à propos de ses mauvais rapports avec Théo. Plus tard, Sipowicz et Sorenson mènent l'enquête dans un hôtel touristique, où un homme obèse, connu pour fréquenter des prostitués hommes, a été retrouvé mort dans sa baignoire, poignardé 47 fois. Les agents découvrent bientôt que le criminel porte certainement deux chaussures droites... De leur côté, Russell, Kirkendall et Martinez reçoivent une mère inquiète que son fils ne soit un voleur.
