Jane’s freedom is at stake when a grand jury is empanelled to decide if he should be tried for the murder of Red John. Meanwhile, Lisbon tries to find out how Jane feels about the possibility of her leaving Austin with Agent Pike, and Cho and Abbott follow new leads in the human smuggling ring they recently uncovered.

Eine Grand Jury wird zusammengestellt um zu klären, ob Jane wegen des Mordes an Red John angeklagt werden soll. Es stellt sich heraus, dass es dem FBI nicht um die Anklage an sich geht. Denn diese ist bloß ein Aufhänger, um an die Staatsanwältin heranzukommen. Sie wird verdächtigt Bestechungsgeld von einem Mafiaboss erhalten zu haben. Und Agent Lisbon steckt in privaten Schwierigkeiten, da ihr Freund Agent Pike sie nach Washington mitnehmen möchte. Lisbon ist nicht überzeugt von dieser Idee, da sie Jane nicht alleine lassen möchte.
