The Chicago fire team works seamlessly with Chicago Med personnel to help aid victims of a deadly gas leak, but things quickly take a turn for the worse when the hospital is suddenly forced into quarantine.

La ville de Chicago va devoir affronter deux terribles épreuves : une grippe particulièrement virulente ainsi qu’une fuite de gaz. L’équipe de la Caserne 51 va amener les victimes aux Urgences de l’hôpital et les médecins vont se retrouver très vite débordés. Mais le pire se produit lorsque l’un des patients menace les personnes présentes en annonçant qu’il détient un virus mortel. Kelly tente de le neutraliser mais une bombe explose et blesse serieusement le chef de la Squad 3.
