Das Erntedankfest steht vor der Tür und alles ist vorbereitet: Es gibt eine Festwiese mit Ständen sowie ein Labyrinth im Maisfeld. Plötzlich taucht jedoch Ken Hotate auf, ein Stammesfürst der Wamapoke-Indianer, denen in Pawnee einst übel mitgespielt wurde. Da das Fest über den Gräbern seiner Ahnen stattfinden soll, spricht er einen Fluch aus, den Leslie jedoch nicht ernst nimmt.
