**June 20, 2001** Still aboard the USS Guadalcanal, Mac is called upon to prosecute a Major accused of negligent homicide by the ship's Captain. Much to Mac's surprise and dismay, Harm arrives on board to defend the Major and also try to clear the air with Mac regarding their relationship. But as they both become entrenched in the case in which the victim drowned during a nighttime exercise in extremely bad weather conditions, they're hard-pressed to find time to discuss their personal business. Meanwhile, Admiral Chegwidden has his hands full with his teenage goddaughter who has run away from home.

Un major des marines est accusé de négligence par homicide et Mac et Harm se retrouvent face à face pendant la court martiale. A bord de l'USS Guadalcanal, Mac est chargé de l'accusation d'un major accusé d'homicide par négligence par le commandant du navive. A la grande surprise de Mac, Harm arrive à bord pour défendre le major et essayer de clarifier les choses avec Mac au sujet de leur relation. Mais alors qu'ils se retranchent derrière l'affaire , ils ont du mal à trouver du temps pour discuter de leurs problèmes personnels. Pendant ce tmps, l'amiral Chegwidden doit s'occuper de sa filleule adolescente, qui a fait une fugue.
