MI5 is put in charge of protecting Niko Grecic, the former right-hand of Tezlia, a Serbian who is put on trial for war crimes. They know that Richard Dempsey, a former MI6 agent who turned on them, is looking for Grecic to kill him before he can testify. Adam, Jo and Zafar must protect Grecic at all costs.

Un dirigeant serbe soupçonné de crimes contre l'humanité est arrêté par les forces spéciales et livré au tribunal international de La Haye. Demsey, ancien agent du MI-6, s'est converti par vénalité à la cause serbe. Il est chargé de liquider toutes les personnes à même de témoigner contre le criminel récemment arrêté. L'équipe du MI-5 est chargée de protéger un témoin clé. Ros l'accueille chez elle tandis que Zac et Adam doivent traquer et éliminer Demsey. Il apparaît rapidement qu'Adam prend cette affaire très à coeur : il est en effet un ami d'enfance de l'ancien agent et ce dernier l'a torturé il y a dix ans au cours d'une mission en Serbie...
