Steven Knight CBE is a British screenwriter and film director. Knight wrote the screenplays for the films Closed Circuit, Dirty Pretty Things, and Eastern Promises, and also directed as well as wrote the films Locke and Hummingbird.

Il est surtout connu pour les scénarios qu'il a écrits pour les films Dirty Pretty Things (2002) et Eastern Promises (2007), et a également réalisé et écrit le film Locke (2013). Knight est également l'un des trois créateurs de Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, un jeu télévisé qui a été refait et diffusé dans environ 160 pays à travers le monde, et a écrit pour BBC's Commercial Breakdown, The Detectives, Peaky Blinders et Taboo.
