Lou Taylor Pucci (born July 27, 1985) is an American actor who first appeared on film in Rebecca Miller's well received Personal Velocity: Three Portraits in 2002. Pucci was born in Seaside Heights, New Jersey and at 2 years old, moved to Keansburg, New Jersey. A graduate of Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft, he currently lives in Venice, California. He first acted at the age of ten in a hometown production of Oliver!. Just two years later he was on Broadway playing Freidrich in The Sound of Music. He can be seen in Arie Posin's The Chumscrubber, the HBO miniseries Empire Falls, and starring as the lead in Mike Mills' film Thumbsucker, for which he received the Special Jury Prize for Acting at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival and the Silver Bear Award for Best Actor at the 2005 Berlin Film Festival. He also played the title character in Green Day's "Jesus of Suburbia" music video. Pucci currently had three films that screened at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival: Brief Interviews with Hideous Men, directed by John Krasinski of The Office; The Informers, with Billy Bob Thornton, Winona Ryder, Kim Basinger and Mickey Rourke, based on Bret Easton Ellis' collection of short stories of the same name; and Arlen Faber (formerly The Dream of the Romans) with Jeff Daniels and Lauren Graham. Lou Taylor Pucci naît dans le New Jersey d'une mère top model et d'un père guitariste. Il commence très tôt à faire du théâtre, jouant dès douze ans à Broadway dans La mélodie du Bonheur. Il décroche en 2002 son premier petit rôle au cinéma, dans Personal velocity : three portraits. En 2005, il est en tête d'affiche du film Age Difficile Obscur avec Tilda Swinton et Vincent D'Onofrio. Sa prestation lui vaut plusieurs prix d'interprétation dans des festivals importants tels Sundance et Berlin. Après avoir incarné le protagoniste d'un clip vidéo de Greenday, il enchaîne en campant plusieurs personnages secondaires dans des comédies dramatiques telles que Génération Rx ou Fifty Pills. Il donne ensuite la réplique à Jena Malone et Zooey Deschanel dans le road movie The Go-getter. En 2010, il tourne à nouveau sous la direction de Mike Mills dans Beginners, puis rejoint la tête du casting de The Music Never Stopped dans lequel un père essaie de nouer des liens avec son fils à qui la maladie empêche de former de nouveaux souvenirs. Le comédien navigue entre les styles et on le retrouve aussi bien dans des thrillers (Brotherhood) que dans des comédies romantiques (The Answer man). Il lorgne aussi régulièrement du côté du film de genre, jouant notamment dans Les Cavaliers de l'Apocalypse (2009), Infectés (2010), ainsi que dans le remake du film d'horreur culte de Sam Raimi, Evil Dead (2013).
