Jonathan Michael Majors (born September 7, 1989) is an American actor. A graduate of the Yale School of Drama, Majors rose to prominence for starring in the drama films The Last Black Man in San Francisco (2019) and Da 5 Bloods (2020) and the HBO horror series Lovecraft Country (2020), for which he received a nomination from the Primetime Emmy Awards. Majors has since portrayed Nat Love in the western The Harder They Fall (2021), Jesse L. Brown in the war film Devotion (2022), and antagonist Dame Anderson in the sports film Creed III (2023). In the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), he portrayed Kang the Conqueror in the film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023) while also appearing as other variants of the character in the Disney+ series Loki (2021–2023). In March 2023, Majors was arrested for physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. That December, he was found guilty of two misdemeanour counts of assault and harassment. After the conviction, he was dropped from numerous upcoming projects, including any future involvement with the MCU. He is currently serving a 52-week in-person domestic violence intervention program. Jonathan Majors (* 7. September 1989 in Dallas) ist ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler. Jonathan Majors schloss sein Schauspielstudium an der Yale School of Drama mit einem MFA ab. 2015 wurde er von der National Society of Arts and Letters (NSAL) im National Drama Competition ausgezeichnet. Majors tritt seit 2011 als Schauspieler in Erscheinung. Seine erste Rolle in einer Fernsehserie erhielt er in When We Rise. 2017 erhielt er eine Rolle in dem Western Feinde – Hostiles. 2018 war Majors in dem Filmdrama White Boy Rick in einer Nebenrolle zu sehen. Im Jahr 2019 kam Captive State in die Kinos. Für seine Rolle von Montgomery Allen in Joe Talbots The Last Black Man in San Francisco aus dem gleichen Jahr erhielt Majors 2019 im Rahmen der Independent Spirit Awards eine Nominierung als bester Nebendarsteller. Eine Hauptrolle erhielt Majors in dem Filmdrama Magazine Dreams von Elijah Bynum, das im Januar 2023 beim Sundance Film Festival seine Premiere feiern soll und in dem er einen Amateur-Bodybuilder spielt. Im Marvel Cinematic Universe verkörpert er seit 2021 die Figur des Kang der Eroberer.
