Udo Kierspe (born October 14, 1944), known professionally as Udo Kier, is a German actor. Known primarily as a character actor, Kier has appeared in more than 220 films in both leading and supporting roles throughout Europe, Canada and the Americas. He has collaborated with acclaimed filmmakers such as Lars von Trier, Gus van Sant, Werner Herzog, Walerian Borowczyk, Kleber Mendonça Filho, Dario Argento, Charles Matton, Guy Maddin, Alexander Payne, and Paul Morrissey. Udo Kier (* 14. Oktober 1944 in Köln-Lindenthal als Udo Kierspe) ist ein deutscher Schauspieler und Synchronsprecher, der seit den 1960er Jahren an über 250 Film- und Fernsehproduktionen mitgewirkt hat. Er ist einer der wenigen deutschen Schauspieler, die regelmäßig in Hollywood drehen, und spezialisierte sich besonders auf skurrile Nebenrollen an der Seite großer Stars. Daneben arbeitete er im Independent- und Arthouse-Bereich mit Regisseuren wie Andy Warhol, Lars von Trier, Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Paul Morrissey, Werner Herzog, Christoph Schlingensief und Gus van Sant.
